Welcome to our association
Founded as a dedicated non-profit association (Biedrība) in Latvia, Lestenes Pagasta Lauku Un Dabas Draugu Biedrība “Zaļais Rūķis” brings together citizens, environmentalists, and rural advocates. Through biodiversity restoration, eco-literacy workshops, sustainable rural development projects, and public awareness campaigns, we work to safeguard Latvia’s natural heritage and create resilient green communities.
Our work is carried out by volunteers, member households and partnering rural schools. Every activity is non-commercial: participation is free of charge, and all resources received through voluntary contributions and public grants are directed into field conservation, educational materials and community equipment.
