Accessibility Statement

Lestenes Pagasta Lauku Un Dabas Draugu Biedrība "Zaļais Rūķis" aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to the accessibility expectations set for public-benefit organisations in the European Union. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing obligation, reviewed whenever content or layout changes.

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and one heading hierarchy per page.
• A “skip to main content” link available to keyboard users on every page.
• Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
• Text and interface colours chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
• Form fields with permanently associated labels, descriptive errors and live status messages.
• Touch targets sized for comfortable use on mobile devices.
• Decorative graphics marked as decorative; informative graphics accompanied by text.
• Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px width and remain usable at 200% zoom.

We publish plain, structured text rather than information locked inside images. Where photographs of our activities are added, they are accompanied by descriptive alternative text. We do not publish synthetic or artificially generated imagery.

Some conservation fieldwork takes place on uneven natural terrain that cannot be made fully accessible. For each activity we indicate the physical demands in advance, and we offer alternative indoor or seated participation roles wherever possible.
